Fall and Winter
The past couple months have flown by...I turned 28 on Thanksgiving, Carter turned 2 on Dec. 8th and tomorrow Travis turns 30!! Things are going very well for all of us :) Carter is growing and changing more and more everyday. He is talking in 3 to 4 word phrases most of the time now and says just about anything. He is also a very fast learner...in just two weeks he has learned 24/26 letters of the alphabet (both lower and uppercase) It's been amazing watching him learn!! He loves LIFE and boy, do we sure LOVE him. We are looking forward to Christmas and the New Year. Also, our 3rd wedding anniversary. We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!!

Where did September and October go?
I guess you could say we've been busy!! September and October were non-existent. I started back to work at the end of August and since then have lost track of time. Well, lets see...September was pretty uneventful. We did take a visit to the pumpkin patch at the end of September though. October just flew but we took in some Halloween festivities. The Blanke's put on a great Halloween event for the kids that we all enjoyed on October 19th. Then, yesterday was Halloween day so I took Carter downtown for his first trick-or-treating experience. We had a great time! Here are a few pics of our sweet little Dino, Carter...

August Update
Wow...has August been busy!! Where do we begin? Well, we began the month with a trip to the fair. Carter rode his first pony and carnival ride. We had a great time and Carter loved all the animals, especially the cows and pigs! Two days later Carter began sleeping in his "big boy" bed, something we really didn't think would happen this soon. His first night was on Aug. 8th and he's been sleeping soundly ever since. He loves it and even has a "big boy" bed at Grandma's house to sleep in. It's hard to believe though that he will never sleep in a crib again. We took his crib down today! We ended the month with a wonderful visit from Grandma and Papa Banton. They were here for a week and we loved every minute of it. It was a wonderful week spent with the Banton family. And now...mommy is back to work. I started my training last week for my new job as a Reading Recovery teacher at Old Mission Elementary. It will be a great opportunity for me. It's a three year committment because the district is training me through Oakland University. I will have a Reading Specialist endorsement at the end of the training. It is only part-time at this point but I may be able to add a Literacy coach position next fall. I am really excited about it. So, Summer is over...but we are all looking forward to Fall and Carter's 2nd birthday!
