Carter's Reading!!

Each day Carter is learning more and more. He loves learning! In his recent video, he recited the "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" after only hearing it read to him one time. It is so cute! I know he's not actually reading but reading by memory is the first step, along with learning all his letters. Carter is able to recognize some three or four letter words also (pet, mom, car, big, fun, cat, done) and learning new ones everyday. He also is spelling these words with magnets and foam letters. He can spell "mom" and "pet" without any help! In fact, if help is offered he says, "Carter do it!".
Notice in his new "reading" video, he tells daddy "No!" when daddy turns the page for him. This is a great moment because Carter is initiating his own reading. He knows he can do it and is not happy with daddy's help. SO CUTE and a great "reading" moment!!
